I am a licensed clinical psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). I am an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS), the Director of Suicide Research in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at MGH, and Director of Big Data Studies in the Depression Clinical and Research Program at MGH. I have served as an invited expert panelist at meetings held by the National Institute of Mental Health on preadolescent suicide. The primary focus of my work is on better understanding how and when youth and young adults are at risk for self-injurious thoughts and behaviors and depression. I aim to improve our ability to predict and prevent these outcomes.
