Tier 4 – Focus Therapy – Purchase blocks of therapy hours to give to those in need

$1000 Donation = 10 person certified in Mental Health First Aid
Tier #1
Focus – Adults
Certify adults in the community in Mental Health First Aid especially all adults working directly with children/youth.
L2L will facilitate and pay for certification courses/programs run via AIMYMH in California. We will recruit caring volunteers to take the
7 hour course for first level certification.
$100 donation = 1 person certified
Tier #2
Focus – Youth
Bring educational programs through livin.org from Australia established in 2013, or JED Foundation based in NYC, established in 2000, to schools and community centers to educate youth on mental health:
- What is mental health
- How to live mentally healthy
- How to recognize when you need help
- How to recognize when others need help
- Where to get or ask for help
Tier #3
Focus – Youth Peers
Train youth in peer-to-peer counseling to set up centers for youth to receive anonymous advice, support, and help from peers who can relate better than adults in specific circumstances.
Youth tend to talk first and more freely to their peers.
Tier #4
Focus – Therapy
Partner with virtual therapy providers to purchase banks of hours then provide the sessions to youth in need at no cost to them.
Examples: Headway, Talkspace, BetterHelp, etc.
Look into bringing rotating resident therapists to Nantucket through MGH programs.
