In the Summer of 2022, I had a serendipitous meeting with Remy at her store on Nantucket. I was curious about the brightly colored Launch2Life stickers she had on the counter and asked her about them. We went on to have a very intimate conversation about how mental health has touched both of our lives. Although moments before we had been strangers, the empathy for our experiences made for a quick connection. She talked about her father and aunt and I spoke of my then 12 year old daughter who was just beginning to see that light again after a long struggle with anxiety and depression. The contrast between our stories helped me realize how much the stigma of mental health and the resources that are available have changed. My heart told me that I needed to be part of Launch2Life so that I could give back some of the support that my daughter and our family received during our darkest hours.
